Sunday May 26, 2019 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

We need help with farm spring cleaning & some building projects around the farm! It is a great opportunity to get outside, get a little exercise, meet other volunteers, and give back to the animals. You can come for the whole day or as long as you are able. We will serve a plant-based lunch to work day volunteers. Message us on social media or e-mail us at [email protected] if you plan to attend, so that we can match our work to the number of volunteers. Let us know if you have any questions. Ages 12-15 welcome with parents; 16+ welcome with signed waiver from parents. Hope to see you at the farm!

There is no prior training or minimum time commitment required to attend a work day.

Saturday June 15, 2019 10:00 AM to 2:46 AM

We  need volunteers to assist with caring for our residents during farm opening and closing at our sanctuary in Lindstrom, MN. Tasks include letting out or closing in the residents, feeding (feed & hay distribution), stall cleaning, refreshing residents’ water, and observing animal behavior / health for potential problems. Opening and closing tasks typically take 2-3 hours.

Farm Animal Care volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Finally, Farm Animal Care volunteers must be reliable – the health and well-being of our residents depends on it!

Farm Animal Care volunteers must first complete an application (click here) and participate in a brief phone interview. If selected to be an Animal Care Volunteer, you will be scheduled to attend an Animal Care Training. After you are trained, you can sign up for regular (e.g., weekly) shifts or be available as needed. If you go several months without a shift, you will be asked to attend a refresher training prior to signing up for an independent shift.
